Year 3 update - 11th September 2026

 Welcome back, Year 3! 🌟

We hope you have all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed some time together as a family.

We are so excited to welcome our Year 3 children back to Hollymount and begin this next chapter of their learning journey together. Year 3 is a very exciting year as the children take their first steps into Key Stage 2, with lots of new opportunities to learn, explore and develop their independence.

Our focus will be on building confidence, curiosity and a love of learning, while continuing to develop the values that are so important to us at Hollymount: Curiosity, Achievement, Respect and Empathy.

We are looking forward to getting to know the children and working closely with you throughout the year. Thank you, as always, for your support and partnership.

Reading Volunteers Wanted

 With the 2026/2027 academic year in full swing, we are happy to once again ask for Reading Volunteers. Previously, we have had parents/carers come into the school and read with children who need extra support in their fluency practise. Your responsibilities would include: reading with/to a child (depending on their age), asking them some follow-up comprehension questions and helping them foster a love of reading through practise.

• your availability 

PE days - Wednesday and Friday 

Spelling test - Friday 

Times table races - Wednesday 

Order of multiplication progression (all children will start on the 2 times table):
