Message from the teachers

Dear Year 3 Parents and Carers,

Another term has flown by and we by the end of Summer 1, children really have matured and grown so much. It is incredible to see their writing outcomes this week as they retold an adventure narrative about Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx. They also had fun making their own Egyptian Scrolls and decorating them in an Ancient Egyptian style. They have loved learning everything there is to know about Ancient Egypt and their zest for learning has been exceptional. 

This week we say goodbye to Mrs Conley as she starts her maternity leave and after the half-term welcome Ms Neves to teach in 3KC. A message from Mrs Conley:

It has been a pleasure to teach 3KC this year. They are bright, kind and thoughtful children and there wasn't a day this year that I didn't think I was the luckiest teacher to be able to spend the year with them. I will miss them and most definitely be updating them about the baby when he comes! Thank you to the all the parents who have been understanding throughout the year as I begin my journey into motherhood, as well. I look forward to seeing you all in a year!

An update from the classroom and the teaching and learning taking place

* Dates for Changing Fluency Books- Children need to bring  in their reading records every Monday to be checked but only bring in their Fluency books on these dates to be changed:

1st June

22nd June

13th July (all books returned)

* Timestable tests- Some parents have asked about the order of timestable test that children will do. Hopefully this will help you study at home:

* Spelling Tests- Spelling Tests take place the following week after the words are taught. Please look her for spelling test dates and words: https://www.hollymount.org/SpellingsYear3/
