Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Year 2! We are so excited for the year ahead and have really enjoyed getting to know the children over the first few days.

The children have settled into their new classrooms brilliantly and have been busy learning their new routines and expectations. We have been so impressed with how well they have adapted to being back at school and the positive attitudes they have shown.

We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead, filled with lots of learning, fun and new experiences. Thank you for your support, and we are excited to work together throughout the year!

What the children need

🎵 A recorder for Wednesday 16th September. Please ensure that your child's recorder is clearly named. We will keep the recorders safely at school for use during our music lessons.

If you need to purchase a recorder, you can find one here.

The children should bring in a water bottle.

🍊 We provide a fruit or vegetable snack at break time. You may provide your own fruit/veg snack.

 Important days

🎵 Recorders - Wednesday 
⚽ PE days - Tuesday and Thursday (children to wear PE kits on these days)
💃 Dance - Friday (no PE kit needed) 

The children will bring their first reading book home on Wednesday 16th September along with their reading record. 
They will also bring home their first spelling list on Wednesday 16th September.

The first spelling test will be on Monday 21st September. 

Reading books and reading records to be brought back in on Monday 21st September.
