Year 1 update

This page is updated every two weeks - W/C 6 July 2026

Dear Year 1 families,

As we come to the end of Year 1, we'd like to thank all of our children and families for such a wonderful year. It has been a joy to watch the children learn, grow and develop in confidence as they have embraced new challenges and discovered so many exciting things along the way.

The children have made incredible progress this year and we are so proud of everything they have achieved. We know they are ready and excited to begin their next adventure in Year 2.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for the support you have given at home throughout the year. The transition from Reception to Year 1 is a significant milestone and your help has ensured that the children settle successfully.

We wish all of our families a happy, safe and relaxing summer holiday. We hope the children enjoy a well-deserved break and return refreshed for another exciting year of learning.

A gentle reminder: Please ensure that all reading folders are returned on Monday next week so that we can prepare the reading records ready for Year 2.

We hope you have a lovely summer break,
From the Year 1 Team
