Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisor (Part Time)

Teaching Assistant:                                                                            

Scale:    ME4, point 13                                                                        

TA- 17.5 hrs per week, mornings (Term time only/39 weeks) Salary: £19,935 (pro-rata) Actual: £8,593 pa

MDS- 5 hrs per week, (Term time only/38 weeks) Salary: £19,935 (pro-rata) Actual: £2,392 pa                              Required:  asap

Hollymount Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, educated, caring and proactive TA and midday supervisor to support learning in a KS2 class.  We have high expectations and standards in our school with outcomes significantly higher than those nationally. 

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively as part of a close-knit and dedicated team. He/she will undertake a variety of duties that support the teacher, while also responding to the needs of individual children and the class as a whole to enhance their learning experience.

Experience of working with young children and the skills to help them develop socially, emotionally, physically and academically is desirable, as are good levels of literacy and numeracy.  Knowledge of the National Curriculum 2014 would be an advantage.

As well as the role of Teaching Assistant, the role also involves working as a Midday Supervisor for an hour a day.
