An Open Community
At Hollymount we value the contribution made by parents who help with a range of school activities and welcome parents to a variety of school performances and events, which take place throughout the year.
Hollymount has a Home School Agreement - a three-way partnership involving the school, parent and child. Through this, we join together to ensure that our children feel valued and achieve their full potential. We believe it is these successful and effective partnerships that underpin the development of our positive, respectful and confident children.
We hold 'welcome' meetings for parents of Nursery and Reception children prior to the start of the new school year. In the autumn term, we send information about various aspects of your child's education, including how your child's learning at home can be supported, for example by attending parent workshops held during the year e.g. phonics, maths, e-safety.
Parent consultations are held in the autumn and spring terms, which provide an opportunity to view your child's work and discuss your child's progress with the class teacher. Parents receive a written report towards the end of the summer term. We welcome your feedback and carry out surveys on a range issues, including a bi-annual parental survey on all aspects of school life, which helps to inform priorities for the school development plan.
